We went to see "The End of the Spear" when we were in Ohio. It was Super Bowl Sunday, and we were in a motel and a movie theater was right next door. I am a huge Steelers fan, and my husband is a college football enthusiast. The Super Bowl is the only time I really get a chance to watch professional football at all (I admit, I never insist on it...not a priority).
My husband gave up watching that BIG football game for me. I did not want to watch the commercials. They have been getting increasingly raunchy, but very funny, and I did not want to watch it. He brought me to a place where I gave up my pride and said I would watch the game with him and then he took us to the movie.
I thought the movie was very good. I cried when they told, in language they could understand, how God had revealed himself in His word, and sent His Son to die. It was a very good movie, and the experience was much sweeter because of the personal struggle that led up to the watching of it.
(BTW, Rebecca, go to the church website and listen to last Sunday's sermon. You might find it encouraging in light of your recent conflicts.)

I saw the movie. It has been a source of inspiration to me for the last couple of days.
Rebecca,
I guess Bill K told you. I think you'll enjoy my response.
